Bexar Electric Company, Ltd. was founded by Bob Weik in1962 in San Antonio, Texas with four employees and a goal to become the premier electrical contractor in the South Texas area. We pride ourselves on employing qualified personnel in a drug-free environment maintained by pre-employment and random drug testing. Safety policies are diligently followed, further enhancing the value provided to our customers. Adhering to these policies, along with providing on-the-job and classroom training, has allowed us to grow to our current strength of over 450 dedicated employees with offices in Laredo, New Braunfels, Austin, and three locations in San Antonio.

We are able to provide electrical and communications system services to our customers for all types of work including commercial, residential, service, maintenance, communications, and industrial. In 1998, Bexar Electric Company, Ltd. became one of the founding subsidiaries of IES. Since that time, IES has become one of the largest provider of electrical contracting solutions in the United States. Being a part of IES allows us the ability to team up with partner companies nationwide to provide our customers with all their electrical contracting and maintenance service needs for commercial, information technology, power line, industrial, residential, and service lines of business.
